Fabian is a PMC member of Apache Flink. He has been contributing to Flink since its earliest days when it started as a research project as part of his PhD studies at TU Berlin. Fabian did internships with IBM Research, SAP Research, and Microsoft Research and is a co-founder and software engineer at data Artisans, a start-up devoted to develop and foster Apache Flink. Fabian gave talks at conferences such as VLDB, ICDE, Berlin Buzzwords, ApacheCon, and Flink Forward and speaks at meetups and user groups about data analytics. He organized and held several Apache Flink trainings and frequently blogs about the internals and use cases of Flink.
